Avon Grove Memorial Day Parade set for May 24

The 16th annual Avon Grove Memorial Day Parade will be held on Saturday, May 24, starting at 9 a.m.
The guest speaker is Fred LeClaire, the Commandant Marine Corps League, with State Sen. Andrew Dinniman, State Rep. John Lawrence, and West Grove Mayor Steve Black also scheduled to speak. The award-winning Avon Grove High School Band, directed by Rebecca Staznik, will be performing.
The parade route begins at Avon Grove High School, moves down State Road to Prospect Avenue before ending up at the West Grove Memorial.
Many local businesses contribute to make the Memorial Day Parade possible. The Avon Grove Lions Club, the West Grove Fire Company and companies from surrounding communities, the local boroughs and townships, and many individuals contribute in some way. The Parade Committee includes the chairman, Dominico Ruffini, Hank Detering, Tom Muller, John Ruffini, Vicki Dash-Slesinski, and Gary Hicks.
