Turn in unwanted prescription drugs on April 26

04/23/2014 03:27PM ● By Acl

For the fifth year in a row, the Kennett Square Police Department is partnering with the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration in the next National Prescription Drug Take Back (NDTB) event being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday April 26, at the police station at 115 N. Broad St. in Kennett Square.

Prescription drug abuse is the fastest-growing public health threat facing the U.S. Many people develop prescription drug addictions after taking prescription drugs from a family member's medicine cabinet.

The Kennett Square Police Department is a permanent disposal site for unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications from homes and this service is available to the public every day. However, the NDTB event is a day set aside for persons to get involved nationwide.
