A public meeting will be held on April 7, during which residents can testify directly to Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) officials about the loss of electric power that southern Chester County experienced in February due to one of the worst ice and snow storms in decades, Rep. John Lawrence announced last week.

The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Penn Township Municipal Building (260 Lewis Rd., West Grove). Residents and local business owners who wish to speak at the meeting are asked to make reservations to Lawrence’s Jennersville office at 610-869-1602.

“I received a number of calls and letters from individuals and businesses raising serious concerns about PECO’s response time and overall handling of the aftermath of the ice storm,” Lawrence said. “I personally asked the Public Utility Commission to hold this meeting to hear from those who lost electric power during and immediately after the storm, some of whom were without electricity for a week or more.”
