PFC Cody J. Kepler, 19, of Cochranville, graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., on March 7. 

He is the son of William R. “Chip” Kepler, Jr., and Jamie P. Kepler. He successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island. While in recruit training, he received the expert badge in rifle marksmanship, was the high shooter for Platoon 2018, was selected as the honor graduate for Platoon 2018, and was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class.

Following ten days home on leave, he will report to Camp Geiger for one month at Military Combat Training then Military Occupation Specialty School in Pensacola, Fla. 

He is 2012 graduate of Oxford Area High School.
