American baritone Jason Buckwalter will present a recital on April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church (on Route 52 across from Winterthur Museum).

Buckwalter is a native of Landenberg who now lives in Baltimore and performs throughout Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Equally comfortable in opera, musical theater, oratorio, and song repertoire, he has performed with a wide variety of companies including the Washington National Opera, Baltimore Concert Opera, Annapolis Chorale, Young Victorian Theatre Company, and The Figaro Project.

Pianist Jolie Lin will accompany Buckwalter.  She has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South America and has performed in Portugal as a scholar on Latin American piano music, and as the orchestral pianist for the Orchestra of the Americas on their South American tour.  Lin has also performed in Europe.  Other solo engagements with orchestra include the Los Angeles Bach Festival Orchestra, the University Symphony in Berkeley, California, and the Lviv Chamber Orchestra of Ukraine.
