Nature activities scheduled at White Clay Creek Park
03/12/2014 03:00PM ● By AclThe White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center is hosting winter events for families. Park entrance fees are now in effect. The series includes:
Wilderness Survival Series at the Robinson Property
Dates: Saturdays, March 29 and April 26
Time: 10 a.m. to noon
Ages 6 and older. Spend a few Saturdays in survival mode and “live like Crusoe” at the Robinson site as we build shelters, track animals and more. Participants must be able to hike up a steep incline. Cost is $9 per class. Call to register (302-368-6900).
Full Moon Fridays (Park After Dark)
Date: Friday March 14: Coyote Twilight
Time: 7 p.m.
These programs meet on or near the full moon. Pre-registration is required. Call the park office to register (302-368-6900). Cost is $6 per person.
Harmony Hike
Date: Saturday, March 22
Time: 10 a.m.
Join a silent hike as we listen to the sounds of nature with our heightened senses. This is designated as a meditation hike to enjoy the forest and fields in quiet contemplation.
