Barrels on the Brandywine offers best of area wineries

02/26/2014 01:45PM ● By Acl

The wineries of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail will be holding their annual event, Barrels on the Brandywine, each Saturday and Sunday in March.

Visitores can sample the newest vintages, developing from the 2013 grape harvest. Local wine growers and vintners will open their cellars and tasting rooms for barrel tastings, cellar tours, music, food, and other special events.

Wine Trail Passports are required to attend. Visitors may purchase Passports ($25 each) online at www.bvwinetrail.com in advance, or from any member winery, either in advance or at the first winery visited during the event. Passports provide a wine tasting at each member winery and a commemorative wine glass.
