CAR BREAK-IN

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale reported that the rear window of a car parked at the YMCA in Penn Township was smashed on the morning of Feb. 20, and a purse containing several credit cards was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

CAR WINDOW BROKEN

The rear window of a 2006 Nissan Quest was broken while it was parked on Ways Lane in Kennett Township on Feb. 23 between 3 and 8 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Damage was estimated at $400.

DUI

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Christopher Raymond Nelms, 34, of Toughkenamon, for DUI on Feb. 14 at McFarlan and Yorktown roads in Kennett Township. A preliminary hearing is pending.

Ron Pownall, 47, of East Nottingham Township, was charged with DUI, resisting arrest and traffic violations on Feb. 14 after his car slid into a snow bank in the 1800 block of Twin House Road in East Nottingham Township. 

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Michelle Ann Dell, 37, of Chadds Ford, after a two-vehicle crash on Feb. 16 on Burnt Mill Road, west of Spring Mill Road, in Kennett Township.

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Hector Alvarez-Morales, 44, of Oxford, for DUI on Feb. 20 at midnight in Oxford Borough.
