Oxford Area High School students Erin Reph and Mary Williams were honored as Oxford Rotary Club Seniors of the Month for January.

Erin, daughter of Kristin and Michael Reph, is a member of National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She sings in the women’s chorus and senior chorus, where she holds the office of treasurer.

Erin is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and volunteers in the G.O.L.D. girls’ mentoring program. For the past six summers she has worked as a counselor at a youth mission sponsored by Calvary Fellowship Church, Downingtown, and held at the Camp at Old Mill in Coatesville. The mission provides children aged four to 12 who live in Coatesville with a variety of outdoor experiences and spiritual guidance.

Erin is a four-year member of the varsity swim team and was named captain in her senior year. She is enrolled in AP courses in English, U.S. history, calculus and computer science, and was recently named a 2014 Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

After graduation Erin plans to study international business as well as chemistry. Her choices include Duke, Lehigh, Villanova and North Carolina State universities and Messiah College.

Mary, daughter of Shirley and Michael Williams, is president of Student Council, vice president of the high school’s chapter of National Honor Society, and serves on the Senior Advisory Panel. She is a member of the choral ensemble, women’s chorus and senior chorus, for which she also serves as president, and secretary of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is a cast member of the high school’s upcoming musical production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.”

Mary is a member of the Spanish Honor Society and a four-year member of the Helping Hands Community Service Club. She played varsity soccer for four years and was team captain in her senior year.

For the past four years Mary has volunteered as a coach of the seventh and eighth grade CYO volleyball team at Sacred Heart Church, and for the past five years has been a co-captain of the church’s youth team in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Mary recently achieved an AP Scholar designation, which is granted to students who achieve scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. She is also the high school’s recipient of the 2014 Chester County Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award, and will be one of nine county high school students who will be honored by the chapter at a ceremony in March.

After graduation Mary plans to attend West Chester University to study mathematics education, with a career goal of becoming a high school math teacher.
