Penn’s Grove Middle School eighth grader Connor Dwyer was the winner of the recent school-level competition of the 26th annual National Geographic Bee sponsored by the National Geographic Society. Connor advanced to take a written geography test to determine if he qualifies for the state-level bee. State champions will travel to Washington, D.C., to compete in the National Geographic Bee championship, with a chance to win a college scholarship. Pictured (front, from left) are social studies teacher Chris Riess, Connor, seventh grader Reagan Dolinger, the bee runner-up; and eighth grader Zach D’Antonio, the third-place finisher.
