On Dec. 10, the Unionville-Chads Ford School District named four recipients of the 2013-14 Wall of Honor Award.
The Wall of Honor was established in 2008 to recognize Unionville High School alumni who have attained outstanding achievements and/or made extraordinary contributions to local or global communities. Nominees are selected by a large group of community members who are a part of the Wall of Honor Selection Committee, including all past Wall of Honor recipients.
The following community leaders were elected:
Helen Martin, class of 1963, an educator, and currently a consultant to Temple University;
Ray and Mary McKay (deceased) -- class of 1960 and 1952, educators and community volunteers;
Samuel Stone Wilson (deceased) -- class of 1950, a longtime manager of King Ranch and volunteer.
They will be honored with plaques on the Wall of Honor at Unionville High School.
