Girl Scouts from Troop 4133 of Chadds Ford Elementary School (above) recently made fleece blankets for the two children they sponsored for Christmas through the Delaware Valley Children's Charity. The troop is one of 60 in the Brandywine Valley service unit that serves the Kennett Square and Unionville-Chadds Ford school districts. The service unit sponsored a total of 35 foster children. Girl Scout troops also sponsored nine local families through COSECHA Holiday Program and provided more than 100 presents to the Doris Haley Christmas program for the children of  prisoners in the Chester County Correctional Facility.
