The New Ark Chorale, a choir of more than 30 voices, has announced its upcoming concerts.
On Dec. 21 at 3 p.m., they will present “Christmas Scenes” at the Newark United Methodist Church (69 E Main St., Newark, Del.). The program features the premiere of “Missa Brevis for the Nativity,” by music director Dr. Michael Larkin, who will also be conducting. Tickets are $15 (free for anyone under 18). On April 5, 2014, the chorale will present the area premiere of “The Peacemakers” by Karl Jenkins. The performance will be at 3 p.m. At the Newark United Methodist church.
On May 25, they will present “American Tapestry XI,” a program of music by, and about, America, at the Bible Fellowship of Newark Church (808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark). Special guests will be the Fort Delaware Civil War re-enactment band. 

The New Ark Chorale was founded in 1977, and performs throughout the Delaware Valley, exploring the various genres of classical choral music.
