Public Safety Committee in Kennett Square holds special public meeting

12/04/2013 02:48PM ● By Acl

There will be a Public Safety Committee meeting open to the residents of Kennett Square on Dec. 11.  The meeting will be held in the lower level of the Genesis HealthCare building, at 101 E. State St., at 7 p.m.

The safety committee consists of members of borough council, the Public Works Department, Mayor Matt Fetick, Borough Manager Brant Kucera, and Chief of Police Edward Zunino. Topics for discussion include matters that affect the safety of borough residents and the general public, including traffic and parking issues.

Safety committee meetings are usually not open to the public. Safety issues of concern to the  public are usually heard at borough council meetings or through the other departments of the borough,  then addressed at Public Safety Committee meetings and not open to the public. Under Mayor Matt Fetick’s direction, this will be the first open meeting of the safety committee.
