Harner signs to pitch for West Chester University

Brooke Harner, a senior at Kennett High School, signed her letter of intent to play softball for West Chester University’s Division II team during a ceremony on Nov. 15. 

Harner has pitched for Kennett High School’s varsity softball team since her freshman year. She currently holds a 1.30 ERA with 473 career strikeouts. During her sophomore year, she was named to the Ches-Mont Second Team.  In her junior year, she was named to the Ches-Mont First Team and was presented with the Varsity Captain Award. In the same year, she was also named as captain and pitcher of the 2013 American Division Champion Team. 

She plans to study nutrition and dietetics at West Chester University.
