The Chadds Ford Historical Society is celebrating the holiday season with the 28th annual Candlelight Christmas on Saturday, December 7. Fifteen historic and distinctive homes will be decked out in seasonal splendor in the Unionville and Marlborough Village area. Most of the homes date back to the 18th and early-to-mid-19th centuries. John Chads House (circa 1725), Taggart’s Tavern (1800), the Marlborough Meetinghouse (1801) and the Christian Sanderson Museum (early 1840’s) along with many others will be decorated and hosting visitors from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Each year, visitors have been pleased with the rustic décor and festive cheer. Due to the variety of architectural styles and unique features of every structure, the event should be a wonderful experience for the entire family.

A printed tour guide with locations and a map will be provided. Guests may visit the homes in any order; a shuttle bus will be available for homes without on-site parking. Tickets may be purchased at the Barn Visitor Center, 1736 Creek Road (Old Route 100) in Chadds Ford.
