The Newark Arts Alliance will hold the annual Holiday Art Market from Nov. 26 to Dec. 31.
Eleven artists will have booths set up in the Arts Alliance's Terry Foreman Exhibiton Gallery with a variety of art, crafts, and jewelry for sale. The hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Holiday Art Market artists are juried for selection. This year’s artists are: Andrea Barrier (jewelry);
Eleanor Fink (jewelry); Terry Foreman and Isabel Crowther (mosaics, felt ornaments, and photography); Carole Fox (porcelain pottery); Karen Hornor (jewelry); Judy Hotchkiss (watercolors, prints, and cards); Jo Miller (fiber art, felted art, and upcycled art); Wendy Shipman (handweaving); Doortje Shover (window ornaments and jewelry); and Rich Stevenson (tie dye and batik).
A reception to welcome the artists will be held Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments and drinks will be served.
The Newark Arts Alliance presents several exhibitions each year to showcase art by local artists. The organization also offers art classes for students of all ages and skill levels, a children’s summer camp, and events dedicated to the visual, literary, and performing arts. Art is displayed and sold in the exhibition gallery and the gallery shop.
