AT&T STORE BURGLARIZED

The AT&T store at 826 E. Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township was targeted by burglars overnight on Nov. 16. 

According to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale, the burglars entered the rear door of an adjacent store, cut through the drywall in the bathroom and entered the bathroom of the AT&T store. Once inside, they cut through the metal latches that locked a room where the phones were stored, and removed five iPads, 48 iPhones, one Blackberry phone, three LG phones, one Nokia phone, 13 Samsung Galaxy phones, and eight Samsung Galaxy tablets.

Surveillance footage was removed from the store, and the burglars ripped a camera off the wall in a back hallway. They then fled. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

HVAC UNIT STOLEN

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale reported that an outside Trane HVAC unit, valued at $1,000, was stolen from Penn Professional Center, at 900 W. Baltimore Pike in Penn Township, between Oct. 27 and 31. 

QUICK-CHANGE SCAM

A cashier at the Walmart store at 516 Schoolhouse Rd. in East Marlborough Township was tricked by a man on Nov. 5 who asked the cashier to make change for a $100 bill, and then confused him by giving additional bills and asking for smaller bills. The cashier was tricked into giving three suspects $1,750. The suspects are described as a black man with a heavy build, between 34 and 50 years old, and two black men in their 20s. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police Avondale at 610-268-2022.

BURGLARY

A home at 276 Kennett Pike in Chadds Ford was burglarized sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Police say that someone forced entry to the home and stole a jewelry box and jewelry before fleeing.

DUI

New Garden Township police arrested Salvado Marcelo-Antunu, 37, of Kennett Square, for DUI on Nov. 5 after he was seen driving erratically on West Cypress Street. He was released pending a court appearance.

New Garden Township police arrested Evaristo Rodriguez, 44, of New Castle, Del., for DUI on Nov. 7 after he was seen driving erratically at West Cypress Street and Scarlett Road. He was released pending a court appearance.

New Garden Township police arrested Daniel Alonso-Gonzales, 38, of Avondale, for DUI on Nov. 9 on Hillendale Road. He was released pending a court appearance.
