Members of the Penn's Grove Middle School football team supported efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer during October. The players wore pink and white Penn's Grove football T-shirts on Fridays, wore pink socks to games, and raised a total of $251 that was donated to the Philadelphia chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The football team also received a donation of customized pink Penn's Grove eye black from Schuylkill Valley Sports Store in Concord Mall.
