West Grove Garage scores at soccer festival
The West Grove Garage Community and Youth Center held a community soccer festival on Nov. 2, in celebration of its receipt of soccer equipment through a Neighborhood Wish List Grant from PNC Bank. On Nov. 2, the West Grove Garage Community and Youth Center collaborated with Christian Life Center and the Philadelphia Union to host a Community Soccer Festival, to celebrate its receipt of more than $500 in soccer equipment through a Neighborhood Wish List Grant from PNC Bank, in cooperation with the West Grove community.
West Grove Borough Manager Sharon Nesbitt was on hand to accept the Garage’s donation of two new soccer nets for the borough park, and each child attending the event was given a new soccer ball. The festival included free food, carnival games, raffles, prizes, face painting and an inflatable soccer field. Several attendees won tickets to future Philadelphia Union matches.
