DRUG ARRESTS

On Oct. 16, Kennett Square police arrested Jose Gutierrez-Quintino, 19, two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, all of Kennett Square, on drug charges. They were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after being arrested under the overpass in the 500 block of South Union Street.  Gutierrez-Quintino was arraigned at Kennett District Court and, unable to post cash bail of $5,000, he was taken to Chester County Prison. The juveniles were released to their parents pending charges filed with Juvenile Probation.

Jacob Wagner, 18, of Kennett Square, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Oct. 9 on East South Street in Kennett Square. He was released pending a summons from District Court.

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Kyle Porter Weidenmuller, 21, of Lincoln University, for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Oct. 25.

DUI CRASH

A hit-and-run crash led to the arrest of Sandra Lynn Winslow, 36, of Upper Oxford Township on Oct. 24. Pennsylvania State Police Avondale reported that officers responded to a crash at Route 896 and Pennsgrove Road on Oct. 24 at 4:54 p.m. The victim was an 18-year-old woman from Avondale, who was not injured. Police later located Winslow at her nearby home. She was arrested for DUI and related charges. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

BURGLARY

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale reported that a home at 727 Isaac Taylor Drive in Pocopson Township was burglarized on Oct. 26 between 4 and 6:20 a.m. Electronics were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

CAR RADIO STOLEN

Someone stole an Alpine car radio valued at $100 from an unlocked car parked in the 200 block of Bethel Road in Oxford on Oct. 26 between 2 and 9 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Dressler at 610-268-2022.

DUI CRASH

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale say that Jose Romero-Rodriguez was speeding and DUI when he struck another car on Route 82 on Oct. 18. A police report said that Romero-Rodriguez was driving north on Route 82, north of East Locust Street, when he struck the back of a car being driven by Robin Freifelder, 50, of Kennett Square, then struck a pole. Freifelder was not injured, but her passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was taken to Chester County Hospital to be checked for minor injuries. Another passenger, Debbie Crosson, 44, of Kennett Square, was not injured. Romero-Rodriguez was charged with speeding, DUI and other traffic offenses.

DUI

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Brannen Edward Figueroa, 20, of Lincoln University, for DUI after a crash on Oct. 26 at 6:37 a.m. on West Avondale Road at Farmington Circle.
