Fulton Bank continues to support Oxford Mainstreet, Inc.'s revitalization efforts

The Oxford Office of Fulton Bank continues to be a strong supporter of the revitalization efforts of Oxford Mainstreet, Inc. (OMI).

The Oxford office was located on South Third Street -- and inside the borough's business district -- until November 2011, and was supportive in providing the space for the weekly Oxford Village Market on the bank's lawn for many years. Fulton Bank has been the sole sponsor for providing horse-drawn carriage rides and family-style hayrides during OMI's Annual Country Christmas event for many years as well.

Then, in November 2011, Fulton Bank relocated the Oxford office into the newly developed Oxford Commons shopping center on Route 10. This move allowed Fulton Bank to offer an ATM option, a drive-through option and Saturday banking hours to their customers. Even though Fulton Bank of Oxford has moved away from the business district, they continue to support the efforts of OMI by sponsoring the Country Christmas activities and, new this year, sponsoring SCORE business seminars, which are held inside the business district.

Because Fulton Bank sponsors these seminars which are open to OMI businesses and Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce business members, the attendees can participate for free.

"We are so appreciative to have such an active supporting force in Fulton Bank," said Sue Cole, OMI executive director. "They continue to believe in the important work that is being done and they support community events and business development within the business district. OMI is pleased that both Fulton Bank's management and Fulton Bank as a whole is dedicated to OMI's mission, growth and development."

Fulton Bank branch manager Terry Wimer has served on the OMI board of directors as the board treasurer for many years.
