MacElree Harvey recently announced that Jacquelyn N. Gordon has joined the law firm as an associate in the firm’s business and corporate law, non-profit law and tax departments.

Gordon represents clients in business transactions and general corporate matters, with an emphasis on related tax issues. Her practice includes advising clients on business planning and formation, preparing and negotiating corporate agreements, and other business matters. Prior to joining MacElree Harvey, Gordon worked in the tax department of a large Philadelphia firm, assisting individuals, corporations, and partnerships and other pass-through entities with international, federal, and state tax issues. Additionally, Gordon has represented low-income taxpayers through the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic by assisting individuals with tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice.

She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester in 2006, majoring in anthropology and political science, where she was a member of the varsity women's basketball team. Jacquelyn was a Big Sister to a local girls' basketball team and also volunteered with Catholic Family Services, working with a Somalian refugee family. Jacquelyn attended Villanova University School of Law where she received her juris doctorate in 2011 and master of laws in taxation in 2012. During the 2013 tax season, Jacquelyn volunteered with the Campaign for Working Families, assisting Philadelphia's low-income taxpayers in the preparation of their annual tax returns.
