Lower Oxford Twp. makes donation to Oxford Union Fire Co.

09/18/2013 01:08PM, Published by ACL, Categories: In Print

Lower Oxford Township Supervisor Ken Hershey presented Oxford Union Fire Company president Bill Goodley with a check for $1,700 earlier this month. The donation exceeded the expectations of fire company officials. The money will be used for a new ladder truck project. The money came from tax revenue that the township received from the Oxford Commons.

Fire company officials said in a statement, "The Union Fire Company No. 1 would like to thank Lower Oxford Township for their generous donation. We are very fortunate to have such a good working relationship with all six of our municipalities."
