Car break-ins prompt alert in New Garden

09/17/2013 08:27PM ● Published by ACL

The New Garden Township Police Department is advising residents to lock their cars and garages after a series of thefts that occurred overnight on Sept. 10.

A police advisory sent to residents on Sept. 12 said that the thefts from vehicles had occurred in the Hartefeld development and nearby communities near Bucktoe Manor in the northeastern part of the township. Police are advising residents to lock their vehicles, even when they are in a garage, lock their garage doors, park vehicles under lights and make sure that any valuables left inside vehicles are stored out of sight, preferably in the trunk.

Residents are asked to immediately report suspicious behavior by calling 911, or the township police department at 610-268-3171.
