Boy Scout Troop 22 in Unionville recently honored three new Eagle Scouts, Vikram Eswar, Kavin Aravind and Nathan Porter, at a Court of Honor held at the Unionville Presbyterian Church.
Vikram is a student at Penn State, while Kavin and Nathan will attend Virginia Tech.

For his Eagle project, Vikram built three planter benches of pressure-treated pine for the Delaware Humane Association in Wilmington, Del. In addition, he and his volunteers planted flowers in each of the pots and did some weeding at the Tribute Park where the benches were installed.

Kavin’s project was done for the Land Conservancy of Southern Chester County.
His project was needed to fix a degraded nature trail as well as to improve water-damaged areas of the trail. The plan was to dig through a portion of the nature trail, remove the existing pipe and properly install a new corrugated pipe to bypass the water from the stream. Stone was then added into the area for aesthetic purposes, as well as to eliminate weeds and unneeded plants. Debris near the area was  removed.

Nathan completed six wooden picnic tables for Unionville High School staff and students. Two of the tables were designated for the grass area of the school for staff use. The other four tables were designated for student use in the school courtyard near the cafeteria.
