Labor Day concert with Love Seed Mama Jump
Sept. 2, 3 p.m., Carpenter Recreation Area
Sept. 10, 6 to 8 p.m.
We will cover basic hawk identification and see live raptors that demonstrate the body shape and flight of the different hawk groups. $20 per person.
Stargazers Draw the Line: The Astronomy of Mason & Dixon
Sept. 13, 7 p.m.
Join local astronomers Bob Mentzer and Greg Lee to learn how looking up at the skies helped Mason and Dixon accomplish one of the most scientifically advanced feats of their time. Space is limited, $3 non-refundable reservation fee.
Nature Babies (recommended for 12 to 36 months)
Nature Nuggets (recommended for 3 to 5 years)

Winter Series: Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 8
Cost: $4 per child per class, or $10 for a series
Babies will have songs, books and animal topics. The Nugget program includes a craft or nature activity. Each program lasts about 45 minutes. Parent must remain with group.
Nature Baby Playgroup

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This program is designed for our babies 12 months and younger, and their caregivers. We will have some nature books and toys out for your little ones to explore in this participant-led activity.
Rob Aptaker’s Stories of the Shad & the Lenape Ways

Join Rob Aptaker for this Delaware Division of the Arts funded program on the Lenape and their relationship with the river and the fish.
Autumn Hayrides Through White Clay Creek State Park
Saturdays, from Sept. 29 to Nov. 2
Sundays from Sept. 29 to Nov. 17
Times: 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m.
$100 per wagon.
Bring friends for a ride through the autumn fields. Afterwards, gather around a blazing fire. Refreshments are not provided. Park entrance fee in effect. Call for reservations.
Owls Up Close
Sept. 28, 6:30 p.m.
Join us for a close look at a live owl. Afterwards, we will take a hike and see if we can hear any local owls calling. Includes a moderate hike. $8 per person.
