Registration is open for the 2013 Mushroom Festival 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk.

This annual event will be held on Sept. 8 at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin at South Broad Street and East South Street in front of the Kennett High School.

Children under 12 may race for free. Awards will be distributed to top finishers. All proceeds from the Mushroom Festival 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk will go to local charities and non-profit organizations.
