Sculpture Trail event

'Artists of Winterthur'

The Oxford Arts Alliance (38 S. Third St., Oxford) presents "The Artists of Winterthur: A Collective Exhibition," opening with a reception on Sept. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. The gallery is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 610-467-0301 or visit www.oxfordart.org.

Pyle Studios benefit

The Howard Pyle Studio Group will hold its first major outdoor fund raising event to benefit the preservation and continued maintenance of the 130-year-old buildings that comprise the Howard Pyle Studios in Wilmington,  Del. More than 100 professional regional artists will exhibit small matted works in the Event Tent at the Twin Lakes Brewery (4210 Kennett Pike, Greenville, Del.). A silent auction will be offered on Saturday. There will be free wine and beer tastings. The show hours are Sept. 14 from noon to 5 p.m., and Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 (must be 21 to attend).

Rockwell Kent and Jamie Wyeth

The Brandywine River Museum (Route 1, Chadds Ford) presents "Rockwell Kent, Jamie Wyeth and Monhegan" through Nov. 17. The exhibit features works by both artists that have been inspired by the small island off the coast of Maine. 'Photographs of Artists' Homes & Studios'

The Brandywine River Museum (Route 1, Chadds Ford) presents "Creative Spaces: Photographs of Artists' Homes and Studios" through Sept. 8. The exhibit of photos taken in the homes of 38 artists of the 19th and 20th centuries includes Jackson Pollock, Grant Wood, Andrew and N.C. Wyeth, Frederic Church, Georgia O'Keeffe and others.
