BURGLARY

A home at 1902 Twin House Road in East Nottingham Township was burglarized sometime between July 1 and Aug. 1, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Police said someone broke a window and unlocked the front door, then stole copper wiring and tubing, two air conditioning units, three bathroom vanities, three toilets and a mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

The front yard of a home at 1043 Thunderhill Road in New London Township was turfed by a vehicle on Aug. 2 sometime between 1 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale.

DRUG POSSESSION

On Aug. 1, Pennsylvania State Police charged Donald Robert Bromley, 46, of Oxford, with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 307 Rogers Road in Elk Township. He was apprehended for a parole violation and was found to be in possession of the drugs.

MAILBOXES SMASHED

Three mailboxes on Blackburn Drive in Nottingham were smashed by vandals overnight on July 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Revels at 610-268-2022.

MAIL THEFT

A mail package was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of North Willow Street between 12:45 and 1:15 p.m. on July 20, according to a report from Kennett Square police. The investigation is continuing.

VEHICLE VANDALIZED

On July 21 between 6:45 and 7 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Juniper Street in Kennett Square was vandalized, according to Kennett Square police. All four tires were flattened and several windows were broken out.

ASSAULT

On July 21 at 11:25 p.m., a 20-year-old man reported to Kennett Square police that he had been assaulted by four males in the 400 block of East South Street. The investigation is continuing.

THEFTS

On July 19 between 7:15 and 8 a.m., a backpack containing a cell phone was stolen from the 100 block of Waterworks Drive, according to Kennett Square police.

On July 21 between 11:45 and 11:55 a.m., a cell phone was stolen from a business in the 100 block of Race Street, according to Kennett Square police.

DUI

Matthew Justin Scott, 18, of Kennett Square, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police on Aug. 2 at 4:30 a.m. after he was seen driving past a stop sign without stopping at North Walnut Road and East Locust Lane in East Marlborough Township. After a traffic stop was attempted, Scott fled and was captured after a short pursuit. Once the car was stopped, Scott was found to be DUI and was arrested.

Robert Jared Beatty, 25, of Rising Sun, Md., was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale after a traffic stop on July 26 on Route 1 southbound, south of Route 82.

Sean Joyce, 37, of Middletown, Del., was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale after a traffic stop on July 28 on Route 1 northbound at Bayard Road.

Charles Vincent Mattucci, 44, of Toughkenamon, was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale after a traffic stop on July 31 on Route 41 at Moxley Lane.

Christopher Rogers Culver, 20, of Port Deposit, Md., was arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale after a traffic stop on July 28 on Route 1 northbound, south of Route 82.

Kennett Square police arrested Robert Bennett, Jr., 44, of Kennett Square, for DUI after a traffic accident at Cypress and Union streets and an accident in the 200 block of South Union Street on July 27 at 10:56 a.m. Bennett was released to a friend pending a summons from District Court.

Kennett Square police arrested Anibal Perez-Reynoso, 19, of Toughkenamon, for DUI after a traffic accident in the 100 block of North Union Street on July 23 at 10:37 p.m. He was released at his home pending a summons from District Court.
