The Russellville Grange, the Oxford Public Library and the Parkersburg Free Library have announced the winners of the “2013 Celebrate June as Dairy Month” coloring contest.

In the category for children up to 3, the winners were Ruby Reyburn (first place), Sofia Patterson (second). Ages 4-6 winners were Grace Lair (first), Emilie Harrison (second), Eva Stanley (third). Winners for ages 7-9 were Virginia Bresler (first), Kay Reyburn (second), Zoey Jarrett Weaver (third). Winners for the ages 10-12 category were Sydney Yarrish (first), Mackenzie Harrison (second), Dylan Barlow (third).

Contest participants picked up and submitted their entries from the libraries and from grange members from mid-May through mid-June. The first and second prize winners attended the grange’s annual dairy supper on June 20 to receive their awards and meet the Chester County Dairy Princess, Virginia Lawrence. The third prize winners received their awards in the mail and all other participants received a special ribbon.

Prizes were provided by the Jennersville Dairy Queen, the Jennersville McDonald's, the Mid-Atlantic Milk Marketing Association and Russellville Grange.
