Avon Grove 9-U wins District 28 championship

The Avon Grove Little League team won the 9-U tournament in Downingtown last week, capturing the District 28 championship for the first time since 1999. The team is managed by Sim Whitehill and coached by Tom Houghton, Bill Dixon, and Frank Sorochen. The members of the championship team include Benjamin Green, Simmi Whitehill, Rob Weer, Ben Houghton, Rowen Hershey, Michael Sorochen, Ethan Lytle, Anthony Geller, Stephen Mininno, Spencer Barnhardt, Connor Walsh, Robbie Dorn and Johnny Dixon.
