Letter to the Editor:

On July 6, we held the Chester County A.B.A.T.E. of PA's 24th annual Dwight Wallace Memorial Motorcycle Food Run. Approximately 75 motorcyclists and a total of 150 people delivered more food to the Oxford Neighborhood Services Center than in any previous year—more than 44 overflowing shopping carts full of food.

I want to personally thank everyone who was in attendance and endured the very intense heat, showing what a bunch of dedicated bikers will do to complete a very worthwhile and needed mission.

A very special thanks to all the area businesses who give us support each year. They include Redner's Market in Oxford, Acme Market in Oxford and Avondale, Walmart in Oxford, George Krapf & Son in Glenmore, the Krapf Bus maintenance crew in Glenmore, Fizzano Bros. Concrete Products, Inc. in Malvern, Premier Dental in West Grove, and the Oxford Borough Police Department.

We also want to thank the generous public who helped us fill the giant shopping carts with all their food donations. With your help, the folks who may not have had food to feed their children will indeed be grateful for the combined effort of all who gave.
