Brandywine Food & Wine Festival slated June 8

The Brandywine Food & Wine Festival will be held on June 8 from noon to 6 p.m. at The Myrick Conservation Center, home to the Brandywine Valley Association. It's sponsored by the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail, Delaware Today and Main Line Today.

The festival highlights some of the best local foods, wines, artisan crafts and music in the Brandywine Valley area. There will be wines from ten local wineries, 14 food vendors and 14 crafters. Two local bands, Big Package Band and Deb Callahan, will play throughout the day.

A cooking demonstration will be held by chef Jonathan Amann of Amani’s BYOB. The Chester County Beekeepers will hold a session on honey production. A silent auction, held throughout the day, will feature local events, crafts and foods. The silent auction will benefit the Brandywine Valley Association, to aid in their conservation efforts for the Brandywine watershed region.

The Myrick Conservation Center is at 1760 Unionville-Wawaset Rd., West Chester. For tickets, visit any Brandywine Valley Wine Trail winery (http://www.bvwinetrail.com) through June 7 to receive an  advance rate.. Tickets will also be sold at the gate on June 8.
