When is a breakfast just a little bit more than that?

When it's a community-wide invitation that brings together students, teachers and families for a meal and some very important meet-and-greets.

The administrators of the Kennett Consolidated School District and the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District are inviting families from both school districts to come to the Unionville High School cafeteria on June 8 for a hearty meal.

Joining the community at the event will be some sleepy students who have camped out at the Relay for Life event that ends that morning at Unionville High School. Students will be wrapping up the fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, during which an entire Friday night of events and ceremonies took place at the school.

Administrators and teachers will be serving a wide variety of breakfast favorites beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing until 9:30 a.m.

Unionville-Chadds Ford superintendent John Sanville said, “Although on the playing fields, the districts are rivals, we represent one community, with shared needs and interests.”

Kennett superintendent Barry Tomasetti added, “The two districts have worked together on many projects in the past that benefit the members of the Kennett/Unionville community.”

The cafeteria is located to the left side of the school building, which is at 750 Unionville Rd., Kennett Square. Admission to the community breakfast is free. For more information, visit www.ucfsd.org.
