The Delaware Theatre Company will host an evening with Tony Award-winning actress Donna McKechnie and Tony Award-nominated actor Malcolm Gets on June 22.

The benefit, “From the Chorus,” will feature Broadway showtunes and stories from McKechnie and Gets from their days in the chorus into the present. Patrons can also meet the performers after the show.

Guests can bid on artwork from the theaater's recent presentation of “Love, Loss and What I Wore,” see personal photographs of McKechnie and Gets as they were growing up “in the business,” and have an opportunity to have photos taken with the stars.

McKechnie, the star of “A Chorus Line,” is regarded internationally as one of Broadway's foremost singing and dancing leading ladies. Her Broadway credits include “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” “Sondheim: A Musical Tribute” (which she also choreographed), “Promises, Promises,” “Company” and “State Fair.” ;

Gets is celebrating his 30th year in show business. Perhaps best known for his portrayal of Richard, the tortured artist on NBC's hit series "Caroline in the City,” he has appeared on and off Broadway in “Amour; The Story of My Life,” “Merrily We Roll Along” and many others. He most recently appeared on CBS' “The Good Wife” and “Blue Bloods.”

"Having been a huge fan of Malcolm and Donna," said executive director Bud Martin, "I am very excited that they are willing to share their careers with us in such an intimate setting and fun fashion. This magical evening makes the stunning talent that has graced the Broadway stages for decades accessible to the citizens of Wilmington, while at the same time enhancing, expanding, and supporting the programming at DTC."

“From the Chorus” will be presented at the Delaware Theatre Company (200 Water St., Wilmington, Del.) on June 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person or $175 per couple, and are available by calling 302-594-1100.
